With the wealth of intriguing games coming out these days, I restrict myself to buying only the ones that run on platforms I actually use.

A lot of Mac & Linux users don't even bother with Windows anymore.

Just my two cents! I'm keeping my eye on this one in the hope that more platforms are coming.
I don't know how technically inclined you are, but if you're comfortable with installing WIne on either platform (Linux or Mac), then Technobabylon will run flawlessly.

I'm currently playing it on a mid-2015 rMBP running OS X 10.11.3 (El Capitan).

Don't a lot of the Mac versions on Gog use a Wine installer anyway? Which I think is why they usually have more Mac/Linux versions of things than Steam does...Everytime I've tried to use Wine manually, I've never gotten good results.

I've been trying to get this to work on my mac osx 10.7 (Lion) installation as well. I've got the wineskin working properly, and it installs technobabylon successfully using the GOG installer. But when I try to play in full screen, there's this crazy mouse acceleration that makes the game unplayable. The cursor moves too unpredictably. It works just fine in windowed mode, but I prefer to play in full screen. Were you able to get your installation to work with full screen and no mouse acceleration? if so, how? And do you have the same problem when running in 640x480?

I believe GOG uses some sort of custom wineskin because I can run all the Blackwell series games just fine in fullscreen, but it seems as though they're also just using wineskin for their GOG Mac editions of their games as well. So there must be a way around this mouse problem.

EDIT: I haven't found a good wineskin engine to use for this game. They flicker in full-screen mode unless I use engine 1.7.1noflicker. Oh well. The other wadjet eye games work fine even on very old wineskin engines. I can load up Technobabylon fine using crossover mac. So there is an easy way to use wineskin to play the game, but I'm not sure which skin corssover is using.

And two more cents from me. I simply don't bother with Wine (or rebooting) any more, I have a huge backlog of games that have a ready-made (wineskin or native) Mac version. I've skipped Technobabylon because of this, and I'll skip Shardlight as well.

What happened at Wadjet? All their older titles have Mac/Linux versions...
I too didn't like the idea that there is no OSX version (at least no official "wine skin" eg. like there is with Gemini Rue) but decided to play the game on OSX via Wine and here's my report.

- It installs fine even though it shows some errors at the very end of the install.
- I played through the game just fine, with no glitches/crashes whatsoever.

Only complain (very minor - had the same issue with Gemini Rue) is that I was unable to have the game content stretch across my screen -It was stuck to something like 1280x1024px. Even changing resolutions (nearest neighbors x5,6,7) via winsetup.exe didn't have any effect on it.
I could either have it running in full screen (with black bands all around) or have it in a window.

hope this helps somebody!

PS. For those that have Gemini Rue, the prefix contained with Gemini Rue works for Technobabylon aswell

Patience is required here. Dave Gilbert explained it in the official Wadjet forum, see the last post here. The reason why there is no linux or mac port yet is the lack of manpower. All ports are done by one person, Dave Gilberts wife Janet.
