This is my first playthrough, so please bear with me... I somehow lost the mini-map in the upper left corner and I don't see any posts about this. It's not a huge deal, but it's bothering me that I can't figure out how to get it back. Help would be appreciated.

That happened me too :)
If you use the original key bindings: just press the TAB key.
