Hello everyone,
Just wondering if its possible to scale the UI size down? It's very large when playing @1080p,
Also, whenever I read an email, the game will crash, but other than it runs fine (so far)
Anyone having similar issues?

Regards,
Nathan

Probably not. From what I've read over the years, this game is very difficult to work with. Lack of source code and other factors make any other features beyond what GOG has already offered pretty unlikely.

As far as your crashing, what resolution are you playing at? If I tried to run it higher than 1024x768, say 1600x1200, it would crash on the first email every time. If I bumped it down to 1280x1024, then it crashes on the first circuit puzzle.

I guess a stopgap solution would be to switch res every time you read an email. the game changes res really fast and smoothly, but even then I imagine it would get annoying really fast considering how many emails there are.

System Shock Enhanced Edition is known to be unstable on resolutions above 1024x768. Some machines will be fine, others will have issues (to a greater or lesser degree).
I wonder what is actually triggering the crash at the higher resolutions, hopefully one day we can get our 1920x1080 (16:9) Shock 1 Remaster.
God knows why it needs to be put up to such a hi-res. It looks great on the 1024.

Sharper more crisp textures, less aliasing, etc.
The menu and in-game interface would suffer the most though. XD
