I run System Shock 1 Enhanced Edition. It works fine, but whenever I try to save my game, it just doesn't. When I open the loading menu, it's always empty. I've looked around the 'net and apparently this happens whenever your windows user profile has diacritics or non-Latin characters. But no matter what I've tried, I just can't change my windows profile name without screwing up the entire system, so short of reinstalling Windows in plain English, is there some way to fix this?

And since we're at the topic: Why don't cloud saves work with SSEE? I've tried activating it, but the option is greyed out!
