I just bought System Shock and noticed that I don't hear my footsteps or footsteps from enemies.

This lead to very frightening situations as enemies sneak up on me and I hear nothing.

Is it supposed to be like this? :(

Do you have any sound effects or is the issue just that you can't hear footsteps?

There are no footsteps in SS1 (at least not that I am aware of), however the music changes if enemies are nearby depending on weather it is a cyborg, a mutant, or some type of robot.

Cyborgs also call out often so you can know which type of cyborg is nearby easier.

Oh, okay, so no footsteps. :-(

Yes, sound works and I also noticed the music changing, but that's not enough for me. :-D
