I downloaded the demo to try playing this (the new/upcoming System Shock game), and noticed the resolution seems pretty low. It was like 1078x786 or something close to that, whereas my monitor is 1920x1200. I found the resolution menu in the options for the game, and despite clicking the resolution menu/button many times, it did not change at all.

Are we unable to change the resolution? Hopefully the final game will allow us to change the resolution.

You can change this resolution by selecting Fullscreen (instead of Windowed Fullscreen).

But this isn’t the real resolution. In my case there was also 1078x786 in menu, but in fact it was my native resolution (1440p).

The game uses a really cool feature that emulates lower resolutions while still providing the crisp sharpness of higher resolutions. It's the textures that you're noticing, they done in a semi-retro style.
