I am playing SS2 on my late 2011 MacBook Pro (El Capitan OS) with Wineskin, updated to latest wrapper. For some reason I can't just click the icon to play the game, I need to go to advanced settings and click 'test run.' Slightly convoluted, not the end of the world. Safe to say I'm not computer savvy, and this workaround is all I have found to work.

This hasn't been an issue until now - when I go to see Polito on Deck 4 the cutscene begins, but as soon as my surroundings are... altered... then just ambient sound effects play and I can't do anything to get it to progress. This effectively is barring me from continuing the game.

Help appreciated!!

ah, I knew I have been forgetting something - looks like the mac build has incorrect script included. go here, download allobjs.osm and overwrite one in your SS2 folder (I think the game install is in a mac package of sorts, you will have to open that first).

will report to GOG tech support as soon as you confirm it fixed.
Thanks - I did that but when I re-loaded no commands worked and I couldn't move, so I had to force quit. Recopied the original file back in and it miraculously worked. So... not sure if that's helpful info or not!

Incidentally, I realised that I downloaded the PC version in 2013 before the Mac version became available, hence why I'm using Wine. If I'd remembered this prior to starting my new game re-downloading would have been the obvious decision (I have re-downloaded now as I wasn't sure if I needed to start again). That said, is there any way for me to move my save file into the Mac version, which I hope would be less buggy?

Thanks so much!

hmmm.. not sure what would be the best thing to do in this case, but anyway, saves should be movable between versions.
