BigBadBorg: Thank you! That worked! The blood is red again!
But is "Remember Citadel" in German or English? :D

It's still in German and as red as it should be. :)

Seriously? That's awesome :D

I fired up the German version as a last minute test and I wouldn't mind playing with the German voices if I could get English subtitles :D.
German(ized) blood textures will not be affected by SHTUP, though.
So, will GoG patch the German version uncut?

The reason for censorship is the index in Germany - the uncut version is banned, so we get a censored one. But here we can download both so there is no need to cut the game.

I appreciate that GoG releases the German language version as well - but is there a possibility that they will fix it to the uncut edition?
I'm not 100% sure, but yeah, ss2tool should do exactly that.
There is a feedback form:

Just tell them.

The uncut version was neither banned, nor on the index. It was just usual to change the blood color to avoid any legal trouble.

Actually, that might be true. I don't know if it was indexed... Thanks for the info.

solzariv: Not true for Fallout 1 GOG release, unless that's changed since I last checked.

keeveek: Fallout 1 and 2 were updated some time ago and they are no longer censored.

And I meant that GOG isn't releasing separate versions of games that are censored or anything for some part of the world, they are always selling the same game for everybody.
A couple hours ago I installed Fallout 1 from GOG I had re-downloaded over the weekend. It is, indeed, still the European censored version -- didn't see any kids running around Shady Sands.

So I then uninstalled that, then installed Fallout fresh from a re-release CD and it did have brats running around Shady Sands. The CD's installer also had some unofficial fan-made (TeamX, etc) bug-fix patches applied to the game.

So yeah, GOG Fallout = still censored.

So people lied to me again :-(
I just managed to get german audio in the english version:

I copied the Data/res/ snd crf and snd2 crf from the german version to the english version.
When I started the game, i had no speaking sounds.
Then I opened install cfg and changed language to german and it worked.

I just tested the tutorial and it works so far.

So this could be interesting for people who would like to have german voices, but play the game uncut.
I can`t tell you if it works for the whole game.

Hope I could help you :)
