before i purchase system shock 1 to complete the series:
which files do i have to replace in order to get a 100% german version of system shock?
i own original system shock from 1994 in german, so the files should be available for me.

Good question. Like to know to. I can switch between languages in the enhanced version but only in english I have voiceover and I know german was completely localized too with speech.

All you need are the GERALOG.res and GERBARK.res files.
Put those files in: System Shock - Enhanced Edition\res\data\
I had those files from my CD but i guess it would also be available somewhere on the net(haven't found them though....)

When in game you can change the language via the options.
Would have been nice if those languages would be implemented right from the start.

Of course I can't find my CD... Maybe someon can upload these 2 files?

I downloaded the classic edition - the german files are there!
This version is also available if you bought system shock enhanced.

The files are located in:System Shock - Classic Edition\SSHOCK\DATA

So i guess GoG can indeed fix the language in the enhanced edition - maybe it was just a small mistake. :)

Oh great. Then I download the classic to get the files. :) Maybe thats why its bigger then the enhanced version.
