Hello there,

So, I just bought the game and launched it, and I have no sound at all.

While sound works fine in the majority of games, I have similar problems with few other games : like Guns, Gore and Cannoli (GOG version), only partial sounds (sounds work fine in cut-scenes, but no sound in start menu and in-game), or Forza Horizon 4 (only some motor sounds in cut-scenes, and no sound at all in menus and in-game). I have asked some help on Forza forums, and with Microsoft support, but no-one could help me sort it out!

So, I try here... Has anyone got similar sound problems, and know how to fix it? (I run under Windows 10)

Can somebody help me, please?

Thanks in advance!

Hm, try update your sound drivers, maybe your soundcard is defect also if that is for multiple games
Also try windows update

I found a solution... I had already updated my audio drivers, but instead I had to downgrade the drivers to an older version (Realtek R2.82), which allowed me to have an enhancements tab in my sound properties, where I could uncheck "disable all enhancements", and uncheck all "enhancements" options... And now sound is working for both Synthetik and Guns, Gore and Cannoli, but still no success with Forza Horizon 4!
Might not actually be the same issue, but In the past I have had a similar thing happen. It turned out that it was because my speakers were incorrectly configured as surround sound. It made some sounds play fine, but others couldn't be heard at all, because they were being sent to speakers that were not actually there.
