I can load, set preferences and interact with the hotel manager but

I get music but no speech; should there be speech? (I do get subtitles)
I cannot save a game (there is simply no response)
When alt/tabbing out the top L/H corner of the screen does not allow a mouse to enter.

I need to save as the game died on me when I was playing (at the notary's place) so need to fix some way-points for recovery.

Is there any chance of overcoming these issues?
