Hello Lorimbor,

I have encountered the same problem you described. Essentially, your OS (operating system) is missing two .dll files that you listed above, which were being installed with older versions of Windows, but not any more. The easy fix is to install them by installing Microsoft's Visual C++ Redistributable Package (just use web search and find the version for your OS - 32bit or 64 bit). In most cases this should solve your problem.

If you are a bit more comfortable playing with Windows, you can just get the two above-mentioned .dlls (be mindful of choosing 32bit or 64bit, depending on your OS), and manually copy them to C:\Windows\System32 folder and C:\Windows/SysWoW64 folder. Note: for 32bit OS, you copy 32bit dlls to System32. For 64bit OS you need BOTH, so besides copying 32bit dll to System32 folder, you also need to copy 64bit dlls to SysWoW64 folder.
Don't forget to restart the OS afterwards.

Please keep in mind that Sword of the Stars is a bit feisty with new operating systems, therefore the solution may not always work.
