Just bought the Gold Edition. Downloaded fine via GOG Galaxy, but it won't start. Sits at the splash screen that says Sierra and Irrational Games, and goes no further. Eventually turns white and Windows says it's not responding.

Windows 10 Home, updated to current, i7-4790, 980 Ti.

Tried running in compatibility for both Windows 7 and Windows XP.

Any suggestions? Thanks!
Do you have two monitors? If yes, turn one of them off.
i have the same problem i cant start the game tried all the fixes i know and have found out online.

double click on the exe and splash screen comes up, then nothing click on the splash screen and instant not responding

anyone else?

Have you tried not clicking on the splash screen and just waiting a bit?

I do have two monitors. Main one connected via DP, second via HDMI. I turned the power off on the second one, same issue.

As for your comment about not clicking the splash screen, I waited ten minutes (10:22 to be exact) before ending it via task manager as it was going nowhere.

Try verify/repair and then make sure you run the game as admin. Keep your second monitor turned off. If the usual fixes don't help, send a ticket over to support with your DxDiag, they'll take a look.

Verifying completed, "no changes", ran as admin, same issue. Ran as admin with various compatibility options as well, second monitor was off the whole time. I'll try again with the second monitor physically unplugged from the GPU, and submit a ticket from there if necessary.

Thanks for the suggestions.

CrazyCanuck84: Thanks for the suggestions.
Both base game and expansion generate log files in the same folders where .exe is (.\Content\System and .\ContentExpansion\System). If you will need to open a ticket, please attach these logs as well.
i put a support Ticket but my log file is blank they both are
I'm having this same exact issue. Only 1 monitor.

EDIT: I have found that I can launch the game if I click on the GOG launcher shortcut located in the install folder, but not through the Galaxy client. Other games launch normally from the Galaxy client.

I'm guessing that once game launched successfully outside the client once, it will also launch from the Galaxy afterwards.
Is so then I know the cause and will have a quickfix tomorrow.

Which shortcut? The ones I've tried within the folder itself also do not work.
CrazyCanuck: The file called "Launch SWAT 4" in the install folder. You should also try the Swat4.exe under "SWAT 4/Content/System".

Thiev: The game still won't launch through the Galaxy client. I can run it successfully via either the Launch SWAT 4 shortcut or the Swat4.exe file, but not GOG Galaxy. Just played through the first 3 missions and tried again, no change.
Having similar issues, single monitor, don't use / have gog galaxy installed.
I have multiple screens. I turned them off and I still cannot launch the game. Really disappointed. :(
