Just booted up the Expansion and when I go to the first mission there is no mission audio for the briefing. I click on the 911 call and no sound comes up either. I do get sound when I move through to equipment and other menu areas but it's almost like the mission audio is all gone.

I had no issues with any of the mission briefings for the vanilla game.

Anyone else experiencing this issue or found out how to fix it?

*EDIT* looks like this is an issue with the GOG Galaxy install. I uninstalled the GOG Galaxy insall and reinstalled with the manual installer from GOG.com. No problem with the manual install.

I recommend others to use the manual installer until the GOG Galaxy version is fixed.

I have the same problem, no music or audio briefings in the expansion. I'll send a ticket to GOG support.
Im basically having the same problem, but I only have no music on the expansion maps, on the base maps everything is fine.
If you guys would have bothered to read the original post or search around, you would see it's a problem with installing the game with the "GOG Galaxy" install. Just install it the old fashion way using the manual installer from GOG.com.

It's a workaround. Ofc I can reinstall it that way, but as I use Galaxy by default, it should be fixed.
I received a reply from GOG, it's Galaxy fault indeed. Until they fix it, one should use standalone installer for the expansion.
It is good that they know about it. Thanks for letting us know zeffyr. I personally like the Galaxy client but I get the impression they are a little slow with updates. Perhaps they can fix the issue server side.
They fixed it! If you're using Galaxy, the game will update automatically. Both audio and music are working perectly now :-) Thank you for fixing it so quick, GOG! :-)

What version is this? Because I still can't seem to hear any audio when I try to open up the Expansion...

Are you sure? It seems I can't hear anything from the Expansion... Even with the 1.1 Hotfix. Do I have to install it properly or something?

Uhm, no, I didn't have to change anything, Galaxy patched the game automatically. Previously there was only part audio present and no music, now all the voices and music work fine. Are you sure it's the same problem, as you say you have no audio at all?

Somehow, that does seem to be the case... I'm not certain if the installed files are corrupted or anything of the sort...

Try to reinstall it with Galaxy, you won't lose your progress in the game.

I tried that... And for some odd reason, the game audio for the expansion is still nonexistent and my background audio [I like to listen to YouTube stuff in the background] dies out as well... I'll have to see what the folks from GOG would have to say. It'll be tough to replicate it for you.
