So my friend and I recently both purchased SWAT 3 and have gone through several hoops to get Last Resort working so we can play through LAN. However, upon trying to connect, we receive the error "Unable to Connect to Server."
We're both on the same wireless network. Is there anything we're doing wrong?

MicroSenpai, have you both tried turning off the Last Resort mod? I would first try going back to default Swat 3 mode by hitting the toggle button on the top right of the Last Resort launcher.

The only thing that I can think of is that maybe your firewall is blocking you from connecting.

I assume you can see each other in the game lobby?

Yesterday someone posted in the forums on my website about a new way to play Swat 3 online. Someone has made a tool to replicate the original Won server network that Swat 3 played on. You don't play a LAN game but actually use the original way to connect to multiplayer.

Here is the forum thread:

Here is the link to the NeuWon website:

For multiplayer go to neuwon.com

We are almost done with the swat3 multiplayer patch which will replace the old WON network
Thanks, turning off Last Resort seemed to work. Unfortuantely the game runs like ass without it.
I've even tried Neuwon, but it doesn't seem to actually do anything. Connecting to the server just leaves me with the message "unable toget server list."

NeuWon is still being worked on for SWAT, I believe they wanted to get it working this weekend at some point.

Hmmm, that is odd. It suggests to me you both didn't have the same version. Perhaps a problem with Windows firewall?
