Hello

I bought SWAT 3 earlier today, yet when I try to play it, it lags terribly. It seems to get worse the longer I leave the game running for.

I am using Windows 10 x64 and I have a high end PC. Are there any suggested fixes for this game?

I went from being overly excited to finally seeing it on GOG to being utterly disappointed :/

I would recommend dgVoodoo. The problem is that Windows is terrible at supporting old games like Swat 3. Windows 8 & 10 are especially bad since they only emulate 16-bit colours in 32 bits.

I recommend reading the following website page about suggestions how to fix poor framerate issues. This page assumes you are using the Last Resort mod but you don't need to use it for the framerate fixes.

No good, thanks for the suggestion though. SWAT2 throws an error. SWAT4, another one. One of these days I'm just going to have to build a really old rig or find a decent VM.

Thanks

Huh? My suggestion to use dgVoodoo was for Swat 3 only. That was the only game you mentioned in your initial post.

Yeah, sorry, I should have clarified.

SWAT 2 throws a MFC error. I tried all the suggestions for that too, but still nothing works.

SWAT 4 runs semi-well, I think I'll need to make some manual edits to get it running, but for now it's unplayable.

I didn't try running those suggested solutions on SW2/4 :D
