Does anybody know where I can find a PDF of SWAT 2's manual? Usually GoG is really good about things like this, but I found a topic from a year ago where this issue was raised and apparently somebody even tried to supply the staff with the documents, so I don't know what's going on there.

Anyway, someone was hosting the manual personally, but the link doesn't work now, so can anybody help me get my hands on it?

Rakarr, I wouldn't mind emailing you a copy. PM me if you are interested.

Do you know why GOG doesn't offer it? Is it a licensing issue or do they just not have a copy?

I should reply to say that I got the manual, thanks to jdsiege. Thanks a lot!

I have no idea why they don't offer it, and I can't imagine why the manual would have a separate licence than the game itself. But looking over it, the game is actually very complicated and unintuitive, so it really needs it.

I do not know. GOG works in mysterious ways. :(

No need to thank me. It was Cy-Fox who posted the zip file with the paperwork included. It might be on my disc but that is packed away right now.

And as for the manuals being necessary... boy, are you right! I still distinctly remember the day I brought home my copy. After trying the first two or three missions as SWAT and failing terribly I took a break (fired up a pizza and watched The Postman). After reading the manual it all started to fall in to place and quickly became a favorite of mine.

I was so glad to see this game offered here since the original doesn't play nice with Vista or Win 7 in my experience.

Although this thread is now a few months old, I completely agree. SWAT 2 is a very complex game with a rather clunky UI, and for GOG not to include a manual with it is a real shame. I had to go find it elsewhere like you just to be able to understand what the hell I was doing!
