open a 'command prompt' using a rightclick, select, 'Run as Administrtor'
type: cd C:\Windows\SysWOW64 (32bit users can skip this step) - press enter
type: regsvr32 ir50_32.dll - press enter

Don't know where I got the ir50_32.dll file. I have no codec packs installed, VLC player only.

My mistake, yours is slightly diffrent :)

Well... I did a forum search before posting - the one you linked did not come up, and, yes, it is slightly different it does not specify the steps for x64 systems.
