I'm a little baffled here. I just purchased SWAT 4 Gold Edition. It seems to be launching ok, but when I exit the game, every single time, it spreads out and shuffles my desktop shortcuts around making everything a real mess. I've never seen a game do this before.

I have Windows 10 Home, fully up to date, running a GTX 970 with an up to date video driver.

Does anyone have any advice? I do a lot of work from the desktop so a workaround or solution would be excellent.

Well, if nobody can help you specifically with the game in particular in the future, I advice you DesktopOK. I was having the same kind of issues with some old games, and one day, I luckily found this : it saved my life. It's easy to use, and very light :)
(I'm saying this just in case nobody can help you).

A simple question : have you set the game at your desktop resolution ? (see here) If not, maybe it can solve the issue ?

Hope this helps :)

Oh lol. That's a nifty looking program! I'll consider it if I don't get a solution.

Yes, I have edited the two parts of the ini file to specify my desired resolution (1920x1080), and also used SETRES 1920x1080 in the game's console commands. The resolution sticks. But I will say, I haven't even attempted to give the game Admin privileges (as specified in your link) so I can definitely check to see if that helps.

I should also note incase it helps anyone, I play on a 60hz 1920x1080 HD television.
