Yesterday I tested it out and I got it to ran. Even managed to get it into widescreen with no problems.
All I get now is that I hear the intro tune, but after two seconds it just crashes to desktop. No error messages. I tried to reinstall but it doesn't matter. Replaced the movies because that was reported as a cause to crash, but nada. Also (of course) ran as admin, compatibility, everything. zilch.
I'm running it on win 10, btw.
Any reason as to why it is acting up like this?
EDIT (fix):
Software renderer was turned on and it doesn't work. To turn it off start the game in windowed mode. You do that by right clicking the shortcut, clicking properties and add -window in the target field.
Should look something like this "C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\SWAT 3\game\swat.exe" -window
If it says you have to run it in 16 bit color mode, right click > properties > compatibility and then change it to 16 bit. Now all you have to is change it back to normal in the game!
