You can get a 24" 1080p 144hz monitor for like $100-$125
1366x768 is 16:8.9956076, almost 16:9, it's also ancient and no one uses that anymore.

What do you think you're missing out on? Retrofitting modern games to a 17" monitor from 2005 doesn't make sense.

If there is some weird scaling issue, uncheck fullscreen and use software like borderless gaming.
