After getting inside the main building I got stuck near the elevator - PP can talk to his mates at look at some things but cannot move. Actually game freezes when it tries - I can close the window but nothing else, and Escape key does not work as well.

Probably it's because PP is incorrectly positioned or something - in ErrorLog.txt I found the following errors:

===
"Stop" can only be called on an active agent that has been placed on a NavMesh.

"Resume" can only be called on an active agent that has been placed on a NavMesh.

"SetDestination" can only be called on an active agent that has been placed on a NavMesh.
===

In my Save.XML, the position of PP is listed as follows:

<Character Name="PurplePatriot" IdleAnimName="Idle" AgentEnabled="True" LockedDown="False">
<Position X="2.489548" Y="0" Z="-9.000648"/>
<Rotation X="0" Y="0.7036592" Z="0" W="-0.7105376"/>
</Character>

I tried to play with the values a bit - the character moves to another location on screen but still cannot move.

Tried to walk through the sewers a couple of times, the bug reproduces every rime. Any help, guys?

I just found this bug as well, I would bet that the developers know about it by now, but I'll direct sybixsus here just in case as this one isn't mentioned in the published changelogs.

The game doesn't freeze when he tries to move (ie. just walk around), but does when he tries to use the Elevator or exit the area (via Exit, To South..., or To East...) because the game locks all other interaction as soon as the player starts those interactions and until they're finished (but they never finish because Purple can't move).

Hiya,

Apologies for not replying sooner. I've been working very hard to get the first patch done. I am aware of this bug and I can confirm that it is fixed in the patch. The patch is just about finished testing, so I hope to have it with you as soon as it can be made available on GOG. I'm not sure what GOG's turnaround time on patches is, but I hope to have it with the publisher by the end of Monday.

I'm afraid there is nothing you can do until the patch comes. Our version control system nuked the pathfinding data altogether for two scenes in Issue 3 - only on Mac and Linux. It wasn't picked up in time for release as it happened between builds and only affects the builds we gave to some stores.

As I believe I mentioned in an earlier discussion, we've resolved the problem with our version control system to ensure nothing like this happens again, but we're still patching everything which was lost the first time. Apologies that this was allowed to slip through and rest assured, it's coming as soon as humanly possible.
Thanks for the information, I'll await the patch with anticipation.

Also, I hope this sells good enough that making a second season seem a worthwhile investment for you, as I'd very much like to see a continuation on the story of the Purple Patriot (I'm guessing I'm fairly close to the end of ep3).
I just received an email confirming that the update is now live. Apologies for the delay but GOG have apparently been swamped with updates just lately.

I don't have access to sales figures yet, but my impression is that we've flown under the radar a little bit. The feedback from players and reviewers has been pretty positive so people do seem to enjoy the game, but it looks as though I need to work harder at getting the word out. As is often typical with indie developers, marketing and promotion are not my strongest areas, but I do have some ideas. I'm currently working on the iPad port, so hopefully that will bring some more attention when it gets released.

I loved working on the game, and I'm very keen to make a second series, so long as I can afford to do so. I know that most of the people who worked on the game with me feel the same way, so we'll do everything in our power to make a second season happen. I already have an outline for where the story goes and there are some fantastic new characters in there. One way or another, The Purple Patriot's story will continue.
