I'm sorry to do this, but the sale numbers on GOG don't justify the work going into keeping the gog version of the game up to date and make the upcoming DLC work here.
I don't want GOG users to have a worse version, so the right decision is to take it down, becuase parity can't be guaranteed.

Everyone who bought it here and wants the DLC or newer versions can get a Steam key from me by emailing me the Supraland receipt from GOG. And no: there is no DRM on Steam.

Then there will be no Supraland 2 for me.
No GoG no purchase
Well... Steam IS DRM. So people who buy their games on GOG for being DRM-free are still not going to doing.

I get it that the sales are not what you expected, but by removing it and making it exclusive to Steam is only going to further increase Steam's monopoly, and further decreasing any sales on GOG.

It's just sad, is all...

It would be helpful to provide the contact email in this thread. Thank you.

Sad to see it go. One of those rare inconspicuous findings you accidentally stumble across that emerge as true gem. And no, without advertisement on GOG frontpage I wouldn't have noticed until today.

Still, there are lots of small studios and developers that manage to keep their products up to date here. Same like Valdasaar, guess no Supraland 2 for me then :(

Well then, you can be sure you are never getting a single penny from me. From now on, you are on my developer blacklist. If you are so lazy to not be able to make a few tweaks to keep the game up to date on GOG, then clearly you don't deserve my money.

Actually, i had never even heard of your game until i heard it was being delisted from GOG.

Thanks for the 1.16.4 version of the game for Linux. I just bought it in Steam. Yes, the game is DRM-free there.
I had snagged the demo for this game back when it first came here, but I hadn't gotten around to it until now. I found it quite enjoyable and would absolutely have bought the full game if it were still here, dlc or no dlc. In fact I might not have even bothered with the dlc and just bought the regular game. But I sure won't go to crappy Steam to get it. So by removing it from here the developer just lost a sale. Seems like a bad move based on a lame excuse to me. But if the game ever comes back here in the future I will definitely buy it.
Disclaimer: I bought Supraland on GoG months ago and loved the game. However I'm very sad of this news.

Genuine question: what additional work does GoG require?

Having a "worse version" is still better than "no version" at all. Sure you will always get complaints, but at least you will make more players aware of your game.

Can you download the game from steam site without having to install the infamous steam client bloatware, just like you can on GoG (hint: you don't need GoG galaxy)?

wtf... why.
I bought the game here on GOG, would never buy it on Steam since I don't use Steam. So to hear there will be no more support for the game here is just disappointing. I can't imagine there's really so much work required to keep the game updated here - there are tons of other developers with their games on GoG and haven't had the problem you're having, so it seems strange to me.
Anyway, are we entitled to a refund in this case?

Nope! When I ask him for a refund, he denied it. So yeah, we are just low-tier customers to his eyes. I refuse to buy anything that I will not have ownership so I will never buy from Steam or any other store with DRM.

If you don't understand the difference between ownership and licensing, I guess it doesn't matter to you. But it does to people who don't want to be tied to corporations and their decisions.
