Hey :)

Is there any way to play Superfrog with a gamepad? My girlfriend loves this game and played it on the Amiga years ago. There are no control settings for this game, so is there any way to map a windows controller to work with dosbox?

Thanks :)
Can you try map it with xpadder? Here's the free version:http://majorgeeks.com/Xpadder_Last_freeware_version_d5282.html
You can solve this with DosBox:
http://www.dosbox.com/wiki/Mapper

What I did:
1. Start "C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\Superfrog\DOSBOX\DOSBox.exe"
2. Press CTRL+F1
3. Move the mouse cursor to over to ALT and click it, then click ADD and move the joystick UP.
4. Move the mouse cursor over to CTRL and click it, then click ADD and press the fire button on the joystic.
5. Move the mouse cursor to the keyboards left arrow, then click ADD and move your joystick to the left.
6. Move the mouse cursor to he keyboards down arrow, then click ADD and move your joystick downwards.
7. Move the mouse cursor to the keyboards right arrow, then click ADD and move your joystick to the right.
8. Move the mouse cursor to the SAVE button and click it.

Now you have created a mapping file, its time to deploy it to Superfrog.

1. Stat CMD (click start and type cmd, or Start -> Run and type "CMD" then press enter)
2. In the cmd window (the black textbox window) type:
copy c:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\DOSBox\mapper-0.74.map "C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\Superfrog\mapper.txt"

Now you should be able to start Superfrog and use your joystick or gamepad to play the game.
I am playing it with xbox controller with default settings. Jump is B and action A.

thank you guys :)
If you have a Mac, tryout Boxer. It has built-in gamepad support.

Did that just work "out of the box" with no config?

I have been debating whether to get this and Alien Breed, if they work with a controller as no one has JoySticks anymore..
Yes,it works out of the "box". But I have installed software from microsoft. http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/d/xbox-360-controller-for-windows
I have an official Microsoft 360 PC pad and it worked out the box for me running Windows 7. It Installed the drivers for me automatically and didn't need to config anything in game.
Hello!
I recently bought Superfrog because it is one of my childhood memories and I wanted to play it again.

I found this great instruction and after fiddling around a bit to get Dosbox to accept my joystick, it worked. But now I have the problem that the game thinks I keep the jump button pressed permanently. I remember this was a problem back in the amiga days aswell, and it was related to auto-fire.
How can I fix this problem?
Thanks!
