I started playing Superfrog and I was wondering about a few things.

Is there supposed to be a Intro cutscene?

The manual (which admittedly is for the Amiga version) lists the difficulty
settings as Normal and Easy but I only have Hard and Easy settings.
It seems odd that there's no normal setting.

I was playing the first level and I got the wings. After I jump I push the
button repeatedly and he flaps his cape but it's having no effect I just fall.
How the heck do you use the darn things? :)

1. There's an introductory cartoon by Eric W. Schwartz, but it wasn't included in the DOS version of the game. You can watch it here if you want.

2. That is true. However, "Hard" is pretty much the same as "Normal" - it's just a name change. The game is pretty challenging, even on Easy, so it doesn't seem to make much of a difference.

3. If he flaps his cape, the wings are working. They don't actually make SF fly - he just manages an extended jump. Don't expect to actually hover or do anything particularly amazing with them. Bit of a shame, really, but there you go.
Thanks for the info.
