This game must have a lot of ships, weapons, mods, ship skins in order to be successful.

One thing that always bothered me in Sunless Sea was the lack of choice regarding ships and the problems those ships created, such as the Dread that was the strongest ship but was insanely expensive to play (fuel + supplies).

Ships - I'm thinking it should have at least 16-20 ships, slow big traders, fast attack ships, fast couriers, luxury liners, heavy combat ships, medium combat ships, jacks of all trades - it needs to have a lot of stuff so people can choose intelligently for their playstyle - without forcing the player to skimp too much on other features.

E.g. a fast attack ship should also have a good size cargo hold for loot, but weak armor.

Weapons - These need to be very diverse, dumb rockets, homing rockets, flak guns, drones. etc.

Mods - Every conceivable mod for this game should exist in the game, including mods that increase one thing and decrease another.

Ship skins - Another gripe I had with Sunless Sea, was that once you bought a ship it always looked the same.

I know you guys are already aware of this, but it needs to be emphasized that the game has to have a lot more stuff in it than Sunless Sea did. Some players want game mechanics & combat and story in equal parts, we're not all emo nerds here.
Hi RaduMihai,

Thanks for the feedback. You'll be pleased to know that while we released Engine Yards in a recent patch (1.0.2.3.2dbd705 - 25/10/17), and four new locomotives along with it, we do of course have plans for more ships. Stat altering equipment and weapons too, including 'large' weapons which can only be slotted to the Large Armament Slot on certain locomotives like the Parzival and Moloch class liners.

I'm not sure if you've been able to purchase any of the new locomotives yet, but once you have you'll see that while they look fairly similar in the Engine yard interface, they look very distinctive in game.
