Rixasha: I already asked this in the release thread, as this corner of the forum didn't exist yet. Apparently they have an alpha quality Linux version that they will send to anyone who asks for it and presents a proof of purchase. However, since they haven't done much QA on it, perhaps running the game on Wine would be a better option for now anyway.

Anyone tried yet? Did it work? The Wine AppDb gives it a garbage rating, but it is an old report from an old build with an old wine, and a comment suggests that the issue that broke the game was easily resolved and should not even be a problem with a current wine.
Hmmm, I might try running the Windows version on Mint 17.1.

Installed the game via Wine and the game works just fine :) One thing I am having trouble with is getting the game out of windowed mode but other than that it runs fine :)

Rixasha: Thanks for trying it out for me! I'll think about it a bit, and maybe get it later.
EDIT: Haven't ran into any big issues so far. Even fullscreen worked without a hitch.
Well, I can safely report that the Linux native version works like a charm as I've been playing it this weekend without a crash :) If you've purchased the game and have a proof of purchase you can get a link to the native version, just shoot an email to sunlesssea AT failbettergames DOT com :)

The more people that give feedback about the Linux version, the sooner it gets released, I think :)
