Ok, so I bought and downloaded the game about a month ago and it seemed to work fine. I had no problems and made it all the way to the first boss, Queen Ghara. I had to take a break for a while, but when I came back to the game yesterday, it started crashing. It's very specific, it only crashes when I attack and hit an enemy.

I reinstalled and started a new game and the same thing happens. I can move around and do anything up until I attack and hit an enemy. Then the game crashes, and I mean big time. I can't even close the program afterwards without shutting down my PC.

I have read that many people have problems with crashes during the saves and open intro, but I don't. Just when I attack. PLEASE HELP! I really want to play this game.

When you reinstalled the game, did you uninstall it and delete any leftover files before reinstalling it? That can make a lot of difference. You can even go as far as using a program like Revo Uninstaller to delete even the registry keys it made during installation.

My guess is that making it a "clean" install might help. But if it doesn't, you can try compatibility modes, disabling scaling, and running as administrator which should be accessible under the compatibility tab in the properties dialogue. I'd also check to see if any drivers got updated between your first install and now. It's possible that could cause issues.

I'm sorry I can't offer anything direct to solve the problem as I've never encountered it myself. Good luck and I hope you get it working again!
Thanks for your reply Zaine.

I'm not sure if I did a 100% "clean" reinstall, but I'll give it a shot.

I did try compatibility modes (which only slowed down the load time to a ridiculous amount), disabling scaling, and running as admin, it didn't seem to work.

As for the drivers, I'm not sure, but I'll look into it. The problem is, that when I go to test even the smallest change, the crash results in me having to shut down and restart my computer, which can take a while and it gets old.

I went ahead and bought the game for xbox so I can play it, but I'm still going to tinker with it on my PC. I consider it a challenge.

Thanks again for your help.
It's unfortunate that this game doesn't produce any logs of significant value as far as I've seen. It would make it significantly easier to figure out what went wrong. This release is buggy. Even after a significant patching effort by the developer after it was released to Steam, it still has issues. Anti-aliasing looks great but it ruins the camera for controllers because why not.

At this point, I'd probably contact support and tell them about the game breaking bug.
I figured out my problem. I am using a Xbox wired controller. What happens is that when a game registers a vibration to the controller, the game crashes. If I unplug the controller it resumes the game. As Sudeki does not have the option to turn off vibrations I will just have to play it with my keyboard. Thank you all for your help.

Are there any configuration files in Sudeki that could allow the user to disable the controller vibration?

There is an option to turn off vibrations. It's in the config tool (I forgot the exact name and I can't check it since I deleted the game already) in the game directory, hidden under some of the keyboard binding settings.
