I was checking the Steam Forum for Subterrain to see if I could pick up some hints and noticed, that the GoG build is missing a whole bunch of patches.

GoG version is 1087 from the May the 2nd, whereas the Steam version is at 1105 from May the 31st.

When will the GoG version be updated?

Harass support, or ask the devs directly if you can. I think the newer ones showing are still on the beta channel at Steam.

Usually they post public patch notes on the store page, and it seems they are working on revamped lighting systems to fit into the next public build.
