Hi everyone,
Firstly, apologies for us being so quiet for so long. We've been doing lots of work on the game, but we're not yet ready to release an update for the "default" version of the game. As such our efforts have focused on beta branches on Steam, but we've finally managed to include GOG Galaxy in our build pipeline. Again, apologies this has taken so long!

So, what does this mean? If you use Galaxy, you can now opt in to a beta called "Latest". This branch is a huge update to the default version, including support for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive! Besides this there are countless bug fixes, loads of new features and content and more besides. We're not confident it's 100% stable yet however, which is why it's a beta. So please give us feedback particularly on any bugs you find!

To play in VR, select the "Sublevel Zero VR" option in the "More" drop down. The game will automatically select whichever headset you have plugged in.
That's awesome! Thanks! :)
Kept the game installed and checked here in the forums from time to time to see if the VR update is out. Don't worry about it being late, I really appreciate that the update is here now.
That's great.

TrackIR is supposed to be detected as well, right? I'm trying to find out why it isn't working on my end.
Just tried this out and it was really cool. I have two major issues, though.

1. I can't navigate the options menu from the keyboard. There's no way as far as I can tell to switch between different tabs. I needed to use a controller just to hit the bumpers so I could switch tabs. Not sure if this is a VR-specific problem, don't recall if I ever tried using the menu before.

2. (and the reason I was looking in the menu) the game is really, really quiet. I can barely hear it when I fire my weapons. I can hear enough that I know there is actually sound coming out, but that's about it. The volume is fine in the Steam VR menu, and in other games.

Glad you like it :)

1) We have a couple of known issues on that front. We've fixed them internally, and we're working on getting a big patch out soonish.

2) This may sound dumb, but - are you using a Rift, and do you have other headphones plugged in? If so, are you sure the sound is coming out of the right place? You may need to switch audio outputs on the taskbar. We use FMOD internally rather than Unity's built-in audio and it's routed separately by the OS.

I just got a new update with this game which is a great sign, I admit I got this for free, but unfortunately everything in this game is pure gold except the crappy perma-death which kills the gameplay for me as I detest wasted effort, I don't care to repeat entire large complex levels over and over again, plus losing all my hard earned loot...

Otherwise, I would have gotten this game on day one as it's the best looking/playing FPS that I have seen so far; If I can find a cheat that will end the perma-death, I will buy this ASAP, so if anyone knows of any, I would love to know where to get it! (And this, from a guy who has dOOm/Complete Shadow warrior saga....)
