I just checked the store page and the warning stating that there is no online multiplayer is gone, and there is a new note at the bottom stating online multiplayer requires GOG Galaxy and can only connect to others using Galaxy...

Can anyone confirm that online multiplayer has finally been put in? If so I am really thinking of buying this.

I can't confirm if it's in for the definite, but there is an option for online play in the menus when there wasn't before.

I was surprised more people didn't comment on it actually.

Hello and bravo for seeing this detail.
Indeed the online mode is available and it seems to work even if for the moment I can't really say because I haven't found any game online. However when you start the story mode you can now open it for an online player...Anyway it's a great news.

The online coop works just fine. Me and a friend played Streets of Rage 4 coop through the GOG Galaxy client.
