Welcome back to 1996, when graphics were blocky, enemies were about as bright as broken light bulb, levels were randomly put together, there were only weapons and none of them shot laser disco balls. If a few of those last bits don’t sound right, that’s because Strafe may seem like an homage to Quake, but it is its own game, with a lot of neat features and a bunch of annoying ones.
