Try this - Go to Applications -> Utilities -> Disk Utility -> Repair Disk Permissions

Also, make sure to drag the application to the applications folder before running.

Thanks trick but I cannot find the disc utility in my application, probably because the game was downloaded from Cog and it s not a disc?

yes now I found it, it says the volume Still Life qppears to be OK but still, Still Life does not open.
