Btw. Today I completed Still Life 2, and while it's not as good as this game, it managed to suck me in. So don't believe all the hate that Still Life 2 got, especially not if you liked the first game.
The problems with the sequel is that it features a flawed inventory system, it feels like the developer got a clever idea, but had to rush the game out the door, as a result the game ended up with an inventory the seems to want to be more realistic than most games, but isn't and instead manages to annoy the player.

Oh, and since the game is made entirely with 3d gfx, and the game clearly was rushed out the door, the game isn't exactly beautiful.

So the game has some problems, but the plot will glue you to the screen, and on top of that, it's a pretty lengthy game, but don't be too proud to use a walkthrough now and then, because there are some illogical puzzles and that annoying inventory system.

Oh and btw. You CAN actually die several times, but it doesn't feel wrong when these timed sequences happen, as they fit well into the context of the game, and you can always save the game when something happens (and when nothing happens). :-)

The game also has 2 endings, I won't say anything other than the Good ending is pretty hard to achieve (again, walkthrough is no shame in my book).

Finally, Still Life 2 is mainly about a new case for Mcpherson, but the player will discover who the killer of Still Life 1 was. ;-)
I hope Still Life 2 will find it's way to GOG soon as it's an underated game Imho.

Ps. This game reminds me of films like SE7EN and SAW (The first film only!) and That CSI story by Quentin Tarantino. AND Kiss the Girls with Morgan Freeman. :-)

I hope so too, as I've never played it.
Yeah, I'd also like to see Still Life 2 on GOG. I own Still Life on CD, but not I've bought the GOG version. But I've never had an occasion to play Still Life 2.

Besides, it's strange there isn't "Post Mortem" on GOG.
I'd love to play Still Life 2, alas no GOG or Steam version, and I haven't seen it in a store. Here's to hoping it'll come to GOG!

I think Still Life 2 will eventually come to GOG. It has the same publisher as Still Life. I suppose it isn't here because the game is like... 2 years old? Maybe in a couple of months or a year. I hope GOG is actively trying to get their hands on it.
However, it does not explain why Post Mortem is missing from the catalogue.
Still Life 2 is now available on Steam, so maybe we will soon see it on GOG. :-)

I hope you're right. But is the price on Steam already in a GOG-like range (~10 USD)?

Until the 8th, there is a 20% discount on Still Life 2 on Steam, which brings it to approx. 7€ which is nearly the same as 10$ ;-)

Ok. Now I'm officially getting my hopes high. :)

I'm thinking about buying it on steam, but since the discount lasts until the 8th, I'm gonna wait for GOG, maybe they will announce something tonight?

I wouldn't count on that. They've already got Anuman signed. And tonight is LucasArts or EA.

I'm sure they'll publish it eventually. But I suppose now they will focus on the new publisher. I hope that today there will be not only an announcement, but new games will also appear AT ONCE. :)

I got them both from steam, didn't realise gog had still life 1, the game has a few bugs like the characters dissappear from the screen in a couple of screen & at one point I got stuck between the walls. Thought my video card was getting too hot but then I read a review & found it was just the game. Just had to save often. The most annoying feature of the game is inventory has only enough space for a few items & you have to keep finding a cupboard to put them in, and also remembering which cupboard you left them in also. lol
But I really enjoyed it. Its a long game & I found I couldn't stop playing it, Well worth the play.

So you can't have on you thing like a theodolite, a ladder or a large bird? ;P I'm not sure the inventrory is an appropriate place for realism...

Nevertheless, I'm still hoping GOG will bring the second installment here, so I can try it myself.
