i activated iron man mode but the game still tells me "no achievements for this game" do i need gog galaxy? (i hate galaxy because it wants me to enter my PW 10k times for every update) do i need a paradox account? (i dont really want to register for every fart that i do on another site...)

i asked on steam and people said that the game has no achievements on its own and that i need a steam version for achievements. they also said i can use my gog code on steam and activate a steam version? is that true?! and where do i find my stellaris code?

I dont think you can get achievements from stellaris with gog. there's not option to link the game to paradox account. im on my paradox account right now and doesnt show up that i even own stellaris on my paradox account only on my gog account it says i own it. but i am logged into paradox when i play the game .

I own the game with Gog and have over 1000 hours played with most of the badges... I don't really care but you do collect them

you don't need to own the game with Paradox if you own it with Gog and have a Paradox account \ ironman then that is fine, however Gog does give you a Paradox key (listed under keys in the web browser) and you can use that key to sync to Paradox if you really want to own it from them for your forum badge or whatever

when you open the launcher there is a buttion on it for badges... takes a min or two to sync with their [Paradox] server before they show... same as with online saves because their system is designed for Steam and you could be a long way away from the states United ;)
