So I did this by mistake with a near end-game save (doh), it basically wiped/stripped my planets and shipyards (it may have done more, but that was all I needed to see).

Just thought I'd let people know the danger.

there is already a notice on the front page of the ui that old saves don't carry across... you can just start a new game or you can roll back galaxy to keep playing your old game

p.s, yes the new patch is night and day
