Hi Don I just wanted to make sure if I restart the game, the only files I need are log and save. I have about 650 hours invested in the game and don't want to start over fresh. This is my 3rd run with the game. The problem I'm having is when the game starts the opening screen is dark. When I try to change the resolution to 1920-1080 the game locks up. All the other functions work. The game is playable, but I can't find my ship in the dark.

Got the game running again but, still can't change the screen resolution. Its my computer that caused this mess. All my game settings were screwed up. Hence the dark screen, my brightness was near zero. So it looks like I'm going to have to reinstall the game.

The GOG version saves all files in the "Save" folder, including the "sav_dat.xml" file which contains your settings and information that points to the saves and universe files. That should be all you need I think. I hope that helps.
