That is really odd. No changes to the current build since the launch.

Do you have drive space?
When you go to manage installation and show folder, are there any files there?
Also, do you have anything in your virus scanner logs that might have deleted the install?

I'd say open a ticket with GOG on this one. I just did a verify and update and everything seems to be working here.

Yes plenty of space... ANd the files there.. tryied reinstall but now it refuses to install anything related to the game..

DAM I want to play... Is there anywhy to install NOT from gog without reprchaseing the game?
A few things you could try, but I'd get in touch with GOG support on this one.

1) Launch GOG Galaxy as an administrator
2) Uninstall the game completely - leave your user data when uninstalling.
3) Install the game - if no errors launch and play

If you do have errors, please contact their support team and they will help. I don't manage anything on the back end as far as installation goes.

You could download the offline installers, there you do not need gog galaxy to play the game.
I have the same problem, tried also the offline installer, same situation.
The game worked only at the first start. Every pc reboot, after reinstalling, game.exe disappears, and gog galaxy is unable to repair the files (it says the installation is at 94%, but an error ciclically occurs).
I've had in fact a similar problem whith "The surge". At some point, it worked again, don't know why....
So, maybe it' a GOG installer problem, a GOG galaxy problem, or a windows update problem, or a combination of them all....

This is likely your virus/malware scanner generating a false positive - the number one cause of issues with ST. The key here is to exclude the entire StellarTactics game folder. More troubleshooting tips here:
https://www.gog.com/forum/stellar_tactics/troubleshooting_guide

From what you are saying, GOG cannot install the game completely because your virus scanner is deleting the StellarTactics.exe files as they are being installed/launched. It will also likely delete supporting DLL's etc.
My .exe file was send in a /GOGgames/Stellartactics subfolder called /!temp, from which i was unable to move it. Now the game works flawlessly after:
1) Uninstalling / stopping the GOG galaxy installation / upgrade
2) Completely erasing the /GOG games/StellarTactics folder
3) Performing a cleaning of the system (like CClean)
4) Rebooting the system
5) Reinstalling the game using offline installer on a different folder.

The game still works after 2 reboots.I haven't changed anything regarding my AV, so I'm not completely sure it was his fault.

I saved the EXE file into a seperate folder.. now when its deleted i just copy and paste back into the orignal foldet.

I have also added the files to the "permitted lists" in my visus checker.. But they still occasionaly get deleted..

Do you have more than 1 antivirus protectors running on your computer, f.e a 3rd party AV and windows integrated AV (Windows defender)?

A shot in the dark, try 1 thing, in windows go to Settings->System->Storage->Storage Sense Checkbox, see if it is turned on, it should not be deleting files in use but you never know.

Another thing, Windows Button->Find Windows Security->Virus & Threat protection->Manage ransomware protection, see if that is turned on, it should only block file access but who knows! (If on, don't turn off though)

Also check your protection history, see if windows defender is putting the file in quarantine. Windows Button->Find Windows Security->Virus & Threat protection->Scan history.

Only times I have seen executables disappear is when an antivirus program takes it out of commission, I am not having any such problems with Windows Defender though.
