Does Staxel support multiplayer with players who launch the game through Steam?

I don't know if it's possible to join Steam 'Play with friends' (steam network) games - but probably not (crossplay isn't mentioned in gamecard).
But you can play together. Staxel has multiplayer in good oldfashion way. Dedicated server, LAN etc. You don't need Galaxy or Steam at all. But it should also be possible to start a server in all versions.

Yes it does! They have their own network that they call StaxelNet that you can use to connect to your friends. I'm currently playing a game with a steam friend who checked the staxelnet settings when opening up to multiplayer :)
It also looked like you can turn any single player world into a multiplayer one.
Didn't see an option to start my own server like the above poster mentioned, but I haven't dug around with that too much.
