Can somebody help me? I've loaded the Stasis Configuration Tool but all the options are faded into the background. I can't click on anything except the option to go to websites at the top of the screen. Nothing is happening if I wait for it to load anymore.

HELP!!!

I should also add that the file itself says "stasis_config_tool_exe" instead of simply stasis_config_tool. Is this what's causing the problem?

Hey Hawk that is really odd. I am not sure about the filename as GOG may possibly rename it.

I think what is happening is that the config tool cannot locate config.ini - it should create it if it can't find it.
Have you run STASIS yet? Can you try run the game and then the tool and see if that helps.

Otherwise, can you check if config.ini exists? You can find it here:
PC Users: (REPLACE USERNAME WITH YOUR WINDOWS USERNAME, YOU CAN GET IT BY TYPING %APPDATA% INTO EXPLORER)
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\The Brotherhood\Stasis\

- let me know!
I have the same issue. And when launching the game I get init game could not be loaded. I saw on a another forum to check the appdata\ local folder, but there is no the brotherhood folder in appdata. I installed through galaxy. verify in galaxy doesn't create any new folders.
Just following up. My issue was solved by uninstalling and reinstalling to the c drive. I have most of my games on a separate drive. This game however didnt like that. Now to actually sit down and play it.
Thanks for the update gryphonsword.
I haven't tried to install it on another partition/drive so that is a great catch!

I installed the game on another drive, full path is "D:\GAMES\Stasis" and had no problems. Maybe you used a longer path or it contains spaces?

BTW: The file "%localappdata%\The Brotherhood\Stasis\messages.log" contains a lot of the lines "Path must start..." and one other message:
...
22:02:55: Error: Path must start with a valid table-name.
22:03:42: Error: Path must start with a valid table-name.
22:04:03: Error: can't open file 'LEVELS\STASIS Levels\Chapter 4\CH 4 Hangar\Dodads\Functions\Debri Fall\Debri_Fall_0267.webp' (error 0: der Vorgang wurde erfolgreich beendet.)
22:04:07: Error: Path must start with a valid table-name.
...

I played the german version, "der Vorgang wurde erfolgreich beendet." means "the operation was completed successfully". I got no error messages in-game and had no problems finishing the game.

Thanks Pavo.

What I will do is add an option for future players to manually locate the config.ini with the config tool - that way they can look for it on any driver if they ever had a problem.

You can ignore those type of errors in the message.log - they are just warnings and errors if things take to long to load or it can't find a reference etc mainly for us to debug stuff.

Hope you enjoyed it!

Nic
I have similar problem but in my case after running Stasis Configuration Tool all I get is empty white window - no options available at all.
Also I can change music volume by editing config.ini from \AppData\Local\The Brotherhood\Stasis\ but what about changing text size?
All advices would be appreciated.
Hey VUC

Firstly - my apologies for the late reply. For some reason or other the thread was marked as read and I never saw your post.

You can change all those options to mentioned, here is the output from the config.ini that you can manually edit:

The Text Scale is what you are looking for.

[config]
FULLSCREEN=no
RESOLUTION=1280x800
FILE=Stasis.vis
Brightness=100
RESIZEABLE=yes
LOGLEVEL=info
TEXTSCALE=2
UseTextureForWidescreen=yes
configUpdated=11:30:44_11|30|2015
MusicVolume = 90
SoundVolume = 80
SpeechVolume = 80
MovieVolume = 80
GlobalVolume = 100

If you have any issues, feel free to email me at info@stasisgame.com and I will attend to them.
Run game once (first time), exit, then config tool must work!!!

sadman985: Run game once (first time), exit, then config tool must work!!!
Hey Sadman, correct - the config tool SHOULD create the config file, but if it doesn't, the game should also.
So if anybody doesn't have a config.ini - then do as sandman has suggested to force the creation of the file.

Keep well.

Nic & Chris
On my GMA 3100 graphics card is Stasis freezeng every 15 minutes.
On my second notebook with GF 425M the game shows Brotherhood logo and then nothing happens - black screen.
My operating system is Win 7 64 bit.
I've tried desktop resolution (1920x1080), then 1280x800, but this has not helped.

I'm attaching my message.log and config.ini files when running under gf 425m.Can anyone help me ?
I have tried installing it in "c:/program files", no improvement.

Problem solved, but I'm not sure how and why.
I've tried the compatibility settings like Compatibility with Vista, Disable visual themes, Disable desktop composition, Run as admin. The game started.
After the successfull start I've set compatibility settings to its previous values.
The game is still working.
Why is that ? I don't know.

P.S. It looks like my integrated sound card has some problem and when it occurs, Stasis is not working. When sound card works, Stasis works too.
