Hi guys!
I know you're all just itching for more STASIS... and so, your wish has been granted!
We are super excited to announce STASIS: BONE TOTEM at https://www.stasis2.com!

Watch the teaser trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kE_BrWHTvnA

This is a fresh, new story in the STASIS universe!

STASIS: BONE TOTEM introduces salvaging duo, Charlie and Mac, as they
scour the ocean for a living. They hit the motherload and come across
DEEPSEA 15; a seemingly abandoned Cayne Corporation rig in the middle
of the Pacific Ocean.

It only gets worse from there… (As STASIS fans, you know what we mean!)

STASIS: BONE TOTEM is a thrilling and spine-tingling journey into
the unknown fathoms of the icy ocean and the terrors that await a
family. They will uncover a threat far beyond their wildest dreams.
Mac, Charlie, and their Super-Toy, Moses will scrape the depths of
their resilience and descend into a sci-fi horror story that will
test their resolve, their relationships and push them to the
darkest corners of mankind.

AND... YOU CAN PLAY IT NOW!

We mean, right now! We've created a DEMO for you to play - if you do enjoy it and
want to be part of the development process,
please check out https://www.stasis2.com

Only just happened to come across this now... am downloading the demo, though I'll probably resist playing it till the full thing comes out.

So glad you guys are going back to the many-deaths freakiness of Stasis. Don't get me wrong, Beautiful Desolation was a great game as well, but the atmosphere of Stasis and Cayne is where it's at (also I missed the many crazy horrendous death scenes!).

Sounds awesome, since STASIS (and of course Cayne and Beautiful Desolation) already had very impressive graphics, while still being essentially isometric games.

Hopefully puzzle-wise it'll be closer to STASIS than BD since the latter was probably a bit on the easy side (and also it had no death scenes which was a shame).

Can't wait to play this - but we'll have to since according to your website the estimated release is Q1 2022 (!!)... Might relent and play the demo in the meantime...

Looking forward to this very much!

Hoping it will be out by EO year and not delayed further (but a good late game is better than an earlier buggy game IMO). But I'm sure it'll be awesome.

Played the demo, generally liked it except the controls seem to be... "consolised" (which isn't a real word but is probably accurate). Something just seemed a bit.. off.. with the controls. It's hard to describe.

The biggest negative is that it seemed to be difficult (with the mouse) to accurately control exactly when your characters walked or ran.

Running when you meant to walk slowly is either immersion-breaking or irritating, depending on whether or not it causes you to run into something that kills you (for me it was the former - I did have a death but I saw it coming, and walked into it to see the death animation - which didn't disappoint, except that you can only trigger it one time, which sucks if you blink and miss it and haven't saved before it).

So you've somehow managed to create a reverse-Sierra situation - where not saving before a death isn't annoying because you die and game over, it's annoying because then you can't trigger the death again. ;)

The only other negative is that it seemed less obvious than previous games where you could actually walk - I can see this turning into a mouse-clicking pixel-hunting thing just to figure out where to walk (only happened in one area though, usually it's pretty obvious)

On the positive side: puzzles are back, as is the gore. I like the approach to controlling multiple characters, and having a magic inventory is cool as it will no doubt save a lot of backtracking that would otherwise occur just to exchange objects. So I see this as adding depth to puzzles while reducing pointless backtracking as well.

I should note I played this a few months ago, so some of the above may have changed. Anyway, I'm still most definitely looking forward to this one.

hey Hey Squid.

In terms of control we have a series of nodes and the player moves to the nearest node to where they clicked rather than any pixel point in a scene. In terms of walk/run - its distance based (to the mouse click).

Def check out out latest demo, we have really polished it a ton - II think you will like it.

Thanks for the support -

Cheers, I think I will. Not that I wouldn't buy this instantly anyway...

That said, I'm pretty sure whether you run or walk was already based on distance to mouse click in the version I played - and although I eventually figured out that this is what was happening, I'd personally still prefer a more "standard" (e.g. single-click == walk, double-click (or SHIFT+click) == run). Mainly because I don't want to have to click in small increments just so the character walks in an area where one would expect them to walk... At the very least it'd be good to have some kind of option for this (disable/enable click-distance-based walk/run or something).

Looking forward to whenever this releases anyway!
Demo looks great--I'm just playing STASIS (in space), believe it or not--have yet to finish--it's my kind of game! I wasn't sure I'd like the switch from space to the ocean, but I think it's going to be a great game...;)

Version 3.4.6 of the Demo is the GOG version, which I assume is the latest, as it landed just a couple of months ago, according to the update dates in Galaxy.

I must say that if you check the demo out, its good but the amount of polish we have added since the demo, makes it is uber good (IMHO) :) Thanks for the kind words.
