Can't seem to get Starflight 2 to run... I've tried the 'Run as Administrator' thing... everytime I choose Start a New Game... it ends up with getting stuck at 'insert disk with splshtop.ega into any drive, press any key to continue' (with print screen)... Any ideas?

I'm running Win 7 (64 bit). Managed to get Starflight 1 working (using the Run as Admin).

Thanks in advance. :)

Go to where you've installed Star Flight 2, in my case C:\Program Files\GOG.com\Starflight 1 and 2\Starflight 2, and delete the file called EGA.MOD

I have the same problem, but strangely enough I don't seem to have such file at all :(
I have the same problem, and I also do not have a file called EGA.mod in my installed directory. Any other suggestions we could try?
It may depend on the file name, if it says it can't find splshtop.cga, then the file to delete would be CGA.mod. I'm only guessing though.

Anyway, the attached photo lists all the files in my starfilght 2 folder and there aren't any ending in .mod

Hello. My *solution* to this problem was to uninstall the game, delete the folder which remained after the uninstall, and then reinstall the game. After fixing the "Run as Administrator" issue, upon running the game for the first time, selecting option 1 to let the computer select the correct graphics mode did the trick for me. Graphics appear to be running in EGA. Good luck.
Any idea where this file might be on a mac?

On the Mac, have a look in:

~/Library/Application Support/Boxer/Gamebox States/com.gog.starflight-2/Current.boxerstate/C Starflight 2.harddisk
