In the stardew valley site ( https://www.stardewvalley.net/compatibility ) it has instruction but it seems that they refer
to the galaxy client. Is there another way i dont have galaxy ?

would be interested too, especially as the gog galaxy does not run on older windows (prior win10) but seems to be required to patch the game as described in attached link
