I'm new to the game and thought I'd play it with some better townsfolk portraits. I installed this mod called Portraits Mods by einari, but the game crashes when I load the save file or start a new game.

Anyone have any luck with custom portraits?

Hello, i have used several portrait mods, einari's included, with no issues, are you sure you have installed the mod correctly? you have to put the .xnb files in ...\Stardew Valley\Content\Portraits and overwrite
