Allegedly I need to find the Swarm Probe Station to unlock the last Special Research Project. I tried chasing a probe, but it just disappeared (as in despawned) when we reached deep space. Has anyone managed to find this? Do I have to randomly travel accross the map to find it or look for hints for the coordinates somewhere?

Edit: I've caught about 20 probes already.

I was sent to -1.62 x 4.89
The Tech guy on Kite Station gave me the coordinates.

I have the Dark Flow Anomaly and the Massive Derelict nearby, but nothing at those exact coordinates. So it's a random location perhaps? Looking at the logs, Chiang has given me coordinates twice during the game, but hasn't said anything about probes. I have completed every other quest or mission.

I wonder if it's because I caught a lot of probes in early game without the upgrade...

In my game, the research for this project never appeared. Upon inspecting the savegame, I've found that Probe Control Station is simply not defined in my star system. I've made several new games and each time the game failed to define Probe Control Station. It might be a bug.

It is, however, possible and easy to write the Station into your savegame manually, sine the save is editable with any text editor. I've wrote the code necessary for the Probe Control Station here: steamcommunity dot com/app/863590/discussions/0/3199240675528678564/
