I'm a huge fan of the Star Wars space sims so I recently purchased X-Wing, Tie Fighter, X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter, X-Wing Alliance and Rogue Squadron 3D My Logitech Wingman Extreme 3D Pro works fine on ALL of those games EXCEPT X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter. When I boot the game up it won't detect the joystick. any ideas how to fix that?

I have the exact same joystick and it works fine. That's odd... Have you tried slotting it to another USB slot? Maybe also check for driver updates?

If you have a gamepad (like an XBOX 360 Controller), unplug it.

P.S. I also have the same joystick. Many games don't like it if you have another game-control device plugged in.

I had to open up the Game Controllers tool, click on Advanced..., and then select the Logitech joystick in the Advanced Settings dialog for the "use with older programs" option to fix the same issue. Might be related to having other controllers plugged in as well but I was not able to test that theory.
