When i'm in the hangar, i'm going to settings / Display options.

in this menu, my Video Card (AMD Radeon HD7700) is greased and the resolution is fixed to 800x600.

I'm trying any change with XWA Hacker but the resolution value in the game stay 800x600 and greased.

How change the resolution in XWA?
XWA Hacker is the right process?

Everything seems to be all right. Xwahacker is the right program to change the resolution. Maybe the game doesn't support anything past 1080p? I can't tell you for certain because my monitor goes only to Full HD. But it's often the case with these older games. Have you tried lowering it to 1080p, to see if it will work then? Try, so that you can eliminate that cause first.

As a clarification, XWA Hacker doesn't let you change that value in the options screen, just transforms the selected resolution to the desired value once in game. In this case, once in your ship you should have 1920x1440 even if at the options screen appears 800x600.

"Once in your ship" it's an important part tho, as the councourse resolution won't change and it's fixed due it's 2Dness. Is kinda easy to see if XWAHacker is working or not. Compare this image ( http://i.imgur.com/yZjQmZ1.jpg ) with this one ( http://i.imgur.com/EKTL3Ju.jpg ). Do you see all that space between each HUD part on the HD one?

As alternative, try to take a screenshot during a mission (using Fraps, another third party program or the regular Print Screen and paste it to the image editor) and check what resolution that image has.

The locked resolution in the game options it's a side effect of GOG's changes.

If I am correct the XWA hacker asks which resolution (0(640x480), 1(800x600),2(?) ,or 3(1600x1200)
to change.

As the resolution is fixed at 800x600 by GoG (read it somewhere) you have to choose
resolution 1 and type in the desired resolution (e.g. hor. 1600, vert. 1200)
It will then read something like "resolution 1 800x600 set to 1600x1200"

Due to the pecularities you seem to ONLY change this one resolution (No.1) to which the game defaults.
It will only work in flght. The cabin art and such seems to be fixed, like a painting.

It worked for me (thanks to the people who discoverd this and wrote in the forum).
