Hi all.

Cant seem to get XvT to launch, really frustrating, the launcher comes up and when i click run it tries to load but then nothing, however i can see the process in the task manager.

Im running the Windows 10 beta, i feel its related to that but wanted to know if anyone else was having issues on other OS's Seeing as it works on 7 / 8 i was confident it would work on 10 (x wing and tie fighter cd dos versions work, the other versions on the XvT engine do not, XWA does work however)

I have a 4th gen i7 of some sort and twin 970s, ive tried compatability modes and disabling SLI.
I have the same issue.. also running Windows 10 preview; so it might indeed be that. I'll test tomorrow on my Windows 8.1 machine.
Incidentally, this goes for both XvT and X-Wing 1998 version (which afaik uses the same engine)

In X-Wing and Tie Fighter I deleted winmm.dll to be able to launch the game. One side effect is that I lose the music. Dos versions still work completely. On XvT I had to copy winmm.dll from the windows folder and paste it into XvT and then rename it to win32.dll to get the game work work properly.
These tricks seem to work for other gog games that do not work on windows 10, like outlaws for example.
