A lady whos husband has been PC gaming for decades passed away, and I received some of his games. X-Wing collectors CD, Crimson Skies, Ultimate Doom, Dungeon Keeper, AvP, System Shock, Wing Commander Prophecy, etc.

Well, among the bag of stuff, I found a boxed and sealed copy of Tier Fighter Defender of the Empire. I'm not sure if it's valued to collectors or anything, but I was sort of tempted to open it up and have a look at the book, case, whatever else is inside of it.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
TJ

Keep it sealed just to be safe. :)
You probably already know the answer lol.

Old games have very little value, except to someone who wants a box for their shelf. Old UNOPENED games are legit collector's items. It's worth way more than if you open it, and it you DID open wth would you do with it. Does your PC even have a floppy drive? Exactly. Just buy Tie Fighter on GOG, and sell that sealed copy on Ebay for $$$
Can you post the back of the box? I have never seen the actual box for Defenders of the Empire.

I agree.
DON'T OPEN!

There is nothing special inside anyway, a few floppies with bad sectors and maybe a manual, a technical reference and an expired discount voucher for Full Throttle.
The way it is now you might be able to sell it for more than when it has been opened.
