Hi guys... man back in the day I played the original X-Wing so much that I even had a buddy that would run the keyboard and be the navigator/shields/targeting/etc. guy while I would have the joystick and pilot and shoot.

I am a programmer and back in the day I even wrote a program in C that would allow you to resurrect your dead pilot in the event that you got blown up and killed. I know that this was a total frustration for me after spending hours advancing your pilot along the story line and missions.... so, I created a program that would not only bring your pilot back from the dead and start you off right where you left off... but, it also allows you to edit what mission you are on, give yourself medals for completing missions, and backup and restore the entire pilot file, etc.

I am not sure where this little dandy is laying around now, but if I could find it, would anybody be interested in buying a copy of the modification program?

IIRC there are also various programs around to modify pilot files for free, Darksaber's X-wing station has a few of them in the download section.
Hell, I used one once to get around a bug that made me skip one mission in Tie Fighter last time I played.
